And now we would like to introduce these giant sized, little creatures of the garden…
During our Fall Session, students can choose to sketch and sculpt their very own
Students will first focus on the techniques of drawing, learning all about shading, layering, and types of pencils as they design their gnome. Then, students can either focus on their drawing, or move on to the art of hand-built clay! Large-scale slab building, carving, and etching are all skills students will perfect if they choose to transform their drawing into sculpture. These gnomes are full of details and personality and each student will create a gnome truly their own, complete with signature pointed hat, of course!
Every day is a new and exciting day here in our lovely little studio, and this upcoming fall session of Exploratory classes we are introducing all NEW and exciting projects! Each class will start off with your art teachers presenting 2 projects for students to choose between and get started on that very day. Depending on the project, the student will continue to work on this chosen project for the next couple of classes (now 1.5 hrs long) or they can choose to start something new and go back to the first project when they feel inspired.

And remember, we love to have parents come into the studio after class for our Gallery Show of all the art students worked on that day! Students are so excited to show off their projects, and we love the chance to talk to parents and answer questions! It is a wonderful time to share in the joy of art.
Ok, have a great day everyone! We are off to load our gnomes into the kiln!
