2 part workshop
Light up the night this fall with these Autumn Gnome Lantern sculptures! Gnomes, those mischievous and wise little creatures from folklore, inspire our artistic journey and make for beautiful and whimsical little sculptures for your home. They're known for their pointy hats, bushy beards and their love for nature and hidden treasures.
Part 1: Sculpt your gnome from stoneware clay!
Part 2: You will need to book and pay for your glazing time separately here approximately 10 days after making.
Under the guidance of our expert gnome whisperers (aka our talented instructors), you'll learn the magical art of sculpting with stoneware clay. Hand build, design, and glaze your very own unique handmade gnome from a variety of stoneware clay choices.
We're taking gnome craftsmanship to a whole new level by turning your gnome sculptures into enchanting lanterns. With a flickering electric tea light nestled inside, your gnomes will emit a warm, cozy glow, casting a magical ambiance wherever they go.
The best part of this artistic journey is always sharing it with a friend or loved one. Gather your favourite person (or people), and embark on this creative expedition together. So, grab your imagination, don your gnome hats (real or imaginary) and join us at our Autumn Gnome Lantern Sculpture workshop.

A private class in an area of the studio, you want to concentrate on following steps
Communal space, other activities may be happening, great if you want to just make art and be social
You must be on time or you lose your paid & booked time, we know it is harsh but the instructor cannot restart the demo
You choose the duration. If you are late, you will not be able to make up the missed time and will not be credited or refunded but can still join in
An instructor is demonstrating the steps live. The instructor is present in the room to facilitate, demonstrate, and pace the class. Ideal for people who are new, or like the presence of a hands-on art instructor to answer questions and guide them
Follow the project steps through videos on a tablet. Class is self-directed and people go at their own pace. Ideal for people who have attended a workshop in this medium before and want to chat with friends and work at their own pace.
(You still have to follow the projects, this is not “open studio time”)
