2 part workshop
Get ready for a bowl-full of fun at our Forest Soup Bowl workshop, where beauty meets functionality in the world of stoneware clay. Join us at the studio and create your very own handmade ceramic bowl that's perfect for savoring delicious soups, stews, and more!
Part 1: Sculpt your soup bowl from stoneware clay!
Part 2: You will need to book and pay for your glazing time separately here approximately 10 days after making.
Let’s celebrate the magic of mushrooms and the art of pottery, all while having a fantastic time together. As we guide you through the process of shaping and molding clay into a functional soup bowl, you'll learn the secrets of hand-building techniques and glaze application.
But why mushrooms, you may ask? Well, these fascinating fungi have a special place in nature, folk lore, and culinary traditions. They come in all shapes, sizes, and colours, just like our handmade bowls. Mushrooms have been used for centuries for their medicinal properties and even inspired folklore tales of enchanted forests! Mushrooms can be beautiful, mysterious, delicious and enchanting! They are the perfect inspiration for a unique soup bowl!

Create your Soup Bowl using our high fire clay
We will fire it again in the kiln. One week after glazing, it’s ready to be collected!
These stoneware bowls with a handle and lid are perfect for your next pot of soup or stew! Stoneware clay is known for keeping things warm for a long time. They are microwave and oven-safe, strong and durable. These bowls are stunning once the glossy glaze is applied to the lid. Choose from a rainbow of colours, no need to stick to the traditional red and white of the spotted mushroom.
