Each week, kids complete a full, hands-on art project using different mediums like clay, oven-bake sculpture, drawing, or watercolour in this 1 hour class. The project is clearly introduced at the beginning of class with a sample to inspire them. Then, kids are encouraged to explore, experiment, and make it their own.
This class isn’t about producing perfect results—it’s about expression, confidence, and fun.

What to expect from kids studio time:
A low-pressure, social space where kids can relax, be themselves, and enjoy creating side by side.
Rotating mediums help keep kids engaged and excited—giving them the chance to try different techniques and discover what they love.
Whether it’s a cozy winter afternoon, a busy spring week, or a crisp fall evening, 4cats kids art studio time is a chance to pause, explore, and get creative—no pressure, just the joy of making.
How does kids studio time work:
* new project each class
* 30 mins extra time option for kids who like to take their time
* glazing (painting clay) is booked and paid for separately by booking the extra time option when registering (if the student has a project to glaze from a previous class)
What are the projects?
We don’t reveal the projects ahead of time — the surprise is part of the fun! Expect seasonal, artist-inspired creations using a kaleidoscope of mediums to keep kids interested and engaged. Every visit is a new creative adventure.
A heads-up for 5-year-olds:
Kids ages 5–10 are welcome! Every child is different — some 5-year-olds love it, others just aren’t quite ready yet (and that’s totally ok). If it doesn’t seem like the right fit, the studio team may suggest waiting a little longer. No worries — your credits are valid for 6 months, so you can try again later when they’re ready.

Kids studio time timeline
⏰ Arrive Early & Get Settled
Arrive at least 5 minutes early — we start right on time! Your teacher will introduce the exciting project of the day and help everyone get ready to create.
⏱ Optional Add-Ons
+30 min Smoothing Time
For kids who like to take their time, parents can add an optional 30 minutes. Allowing students to slow down refining and smoothing their work.
+30 min Glazing Time If your child has a piece ready to paint, you can also add 30 minutes of glazing time to finish it off with colour. * glazing (painting clay) is booked and paid for separately by booking the extra time option when registering (if the student has a project to glaze from a previous class)
✨ And Then…
Your artwork stays with us to dry, cure, or be kiln-fired, depending on the project.
- If it's clay, you’ll return to glaze (paint) it later.
If it’s not clay, students will leave feeling proud of making something with their hands—rather than spending time on a screen 😂
