In Studio Terms And Conditions

By booking or participating in any activity at 4Cats Arts Studio (“4Cats,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all in-studio bookings, including workshops, classes, camps, and private events.

READ BEFORE BOOKING – Gift Cards, Credits, and Refunds

Have a gift card or code that's not working? Please email hello@4cats.com before completing your purchase. We do not provide refunds after booking—No Exceptions.

1. General Policies

  • All bookings must be made in advance through our website or studio.
  • All participants must meet the minimum age requirements listed for each session or workshop.
  • Every attendee must be a paid participant unless otherwise specified. Observers are not permitted.
  • All projects are completed in studio. Materials may not be taken home to finish.
  • 4Cats uses professional art materials that may stain clothing, shoes, and personal belongings. Aprons are not provided. 4Cats is not responsible for damage to clothing or personal property.
  • Please treat all staff and other participants with respect and courtesy at all times.
  • Progress over perfection — Finished pieces will vary from studio samples or images. Each project is handmade and unique, and differences from examples are expected and not grounds for refund or credit.

2. Adult Workshops

  • Participants must be at least 16 years old to attend.
  • Space is limited; no observers are permitted.
  • Completed artwork is typically ready for pickup within 14 days (clay, oven-bake, and paintings).
  • Artwork is held for 2 months after completion. No call or email notification will be provided when it is ready for pickup.
  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled start time are eligible for a 30-day credit, minus a $5 administration fee.
  • No refunds are offered.
  • Credits cannot be issued after the workshop has begun.
  • If a class or workshop must be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., staff illness, extreme weather, or other public health emergency), participants will receive a reschedule option or credit. Refunds are not provided in these cases.

3. Family Workshops

  • All attending children must meet the posted age requirements.
  • Every child must be accompanied by a paid adult participant. No observers.
  • Children aged 12 or older may attend a family workshop without an accompanying adult.
  • The maximum ratio is two children per adult.
  • For children aged 8 and under, we strongly recommend one adult per child.
  • For children aged 8–11, the absolute maximum is two children per adult.
  • Registrations that do not comply with these ratios will be cancelled and credited (minus administration fee).
  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the workshop start time are eligible for a 30-day credit, minus a $5 administration fee.
  • No refunds are offered.
  • Completed artwork is ready in approximately 14 days and held for 2 months.
  • If a workshop must be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., staff illness, extreme weather, or other public health emergency), participants will receive a reschedule option or credit. Refunds are not provided in these cases.

4. Kids Classes, Camps & PA/PD Days

  • All participants must meet the posted age requirements.
  • No refunds at any time.
  • Two weeks’ notice is required to cancel and receive a credit, minus a $25 administration fee.
  • Cancellations made within two weeks of the start date are not eligible for credit.
  • There are no credits or refunds for missed classes or absences once the program has begun.
  • All projects are completed in studio.
  • Artwork is ready in approximately 14 days and held for 2 months.
  • If a class or camp must be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., staff illness, extreme weather, or other public health emergency), participants will receive a reschedule option or credit. Refunds are not provided in these cases.
  • Parents are responsible for ensuring children understand and follow studio behaviour expectations (see Section 8).

5. Kids Parties

  • A non-refundable deposit (base fee) is required to confirm a party booking. The base fee is non-refundable and non-creditable under any circumstances.
  • The minimum charge covers 8 participants. Additional guests may be added in advance or on the day of the party, subject to space and staffing. If you are planning for 16 or more guests, please book for at least 16 in advance to reserve adequate space and staffing. We are unable to accommodate increases above 15 guests on the day of the event.
  • Two adult observers are included; additional adults are considered guests and count toward the total.
  • The studio must be notified of any changes to guest numbers at least 3 days prior to the event.
  • No-show policy: We don’t issue refunds for no-shows. Instead, we provide a 30-day credit as follows:
    • Bookings up to 15 guests: credit for any no-show guests, minus the base fee.
    • Bookings of 16 or more guests: credit for no-show guests, but a minimum of 16 guests is charged to cover staffing and reserved studio space.
  • Party cancellations require 2 weeks’ notice for transfer within 4 weeks, subject to availability (minus a $25 administration fee). The base fee remains non-creditable and non-refundable.
  • No refunds are offered.
  • All projects must be completed in studio.
  • Artwork is ready in approximately 14 days and held for 2 months.
  • If a party must be cancelled due to circumstances beyond 4Cats’ control (e.g., staff illness, severe weather, or other public health emergency), participants will receive a reschedule option or credit. Refunds are not provided in these cases.

6. Adult & Group Events

  • A non-refundable deposit (base fee) is required to confirm an event booking. The base fee is non-refundable and non-creditable under any circumstances.
  • The minimum charge covers 10 participants. Additional guests may be added in advance or on the day of the event, subject to space and staffing. If you are planning for 21 or more guests, please book for at least 21 in advance to reserve adequate space and staffing. We are unable to accommodate increases above 20 guests on the day of the event.
  • No-show policy: We don’t issue refunds for no-shows. Instead, we provide a 30-day credit as follows:
    • Bookings up to 20 guests: credit for any no-show guests, minus the base fee.
    • Bookings 21–30 guests: credit for no-show guests, but a minimum of 21 guests is charged to cover staffing and reserved studio space.
  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the event start time are eligible for a 30-day credit, minus a $5 administration fee. The base fee remains non-creditable and non-refundable.
  • No refunds are offered.
  • Artwork is ready in approximately 14 days and held for 2 months.
  • If your group is large or may be loud, you may be asked to adjust volume to maintain a comfortable environment for others or consider booking a private event.
  • If an event must be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., staff illness, extreme weather, or other public health emergency), participants will receive a reschedule option or credit. Refunds are not provided in these cases.

7. Artwork Pickup & Storage

  • Artwork is typically ready for pickup in approximately 14 days.
  • Finished pieces are held for 2 months from completion date.
  • Due to limited space, unclaimed artwork may be discarded after this period.
  • No phone call or email notification will be sent when artwork is ready.
  • 4Cats is not responsible for any damage or loss to unclaimed artwork.
  • Kiln firing carries inherent risks. Clay breakage or kiln explosions, while rare, can occur. Refunds or credits cannot be provided in such cases.

8. Behaviour & Studio Conduct

  • All participants are expected to treat instructors, staff, and fellow guests with respect and kindness.
  • Children must listen to instructors, follow safety rules, and refrain from touching others.
  • Disruptive, aggressive, or disrespectful behaviour—including bullying, swearing, or verbal abuse toward staff—will result in immediate removal from the studio with no refund or credit.
  • Threatening or abusive conduct may result in permanent removal from future activities. Police may be contacted if necessary.
  • Policies are in place to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for everyone.

9. Health, Safety & Liability

  • Parents/guardians grant permission for 4Cats staff to seek medical attention in case of emergency when a guardian cannot be reached.
  • Participants must disclose any allergies, medical conditions, or special requirements prior to participation.
  • 4Cats is not responsible for damage to clothing, footwear, or personal belongings.
  • By participating, you release 4Cats Arts Studio, its owners, operators, employees, and licensee from all liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation or presence on the premises.
  • In the event of a public health emergency, natural disaster, or other event beyond 4Cats’ control, classes and events may be rescheduled or credited; refunds will not be issued.

10. Refunds, Credits & Payment Policies

  • All bookings are non-refundable.
  • Credits are issued only in accordance with the timelines and conditions in Sections 2–6.
  • Credits are non-transferable and hold no cash value.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring gift codes or credits are applied correctly before checkout. Refunds cannot be issued for missed codes or errors after checkout.
