Our after-school studio drop-in offers a calm, creative place for kids ages 5–15 to land after the school day.

The program runs as a two-hour open studio drop-in. Children may arrive and be picked up at any time during the two-hour session, depending on what works best for your family.

Throughout the session, we offer a guided art activity that runs on a rolling basis. Participation is optional — kids are welcome to join at any point, work independently, or move between activities as needed. Studio time may include self-guided homework or reading, drawing or quiet art activities, enjoying a snack from home, or helping with age-appropriate, supervised studio tasks. Older participants may also assist younger kids or support the activity alongside the instructor.

Wednesday–Friday | After school

  • The program runs for two hours

  • Arrival and pick-up are flexible at any time during the session

  • Self-guided homework or reading
  • Drawing, colouring, or simple art activities
  • Quiet games
  • Preparing materials for the guided art activity
  • Enjoying their own snack

Staff are present to supervise and support transitions. Homework is self-guided — this is not a tutoring or homework-help program.

Participants are invited to take part in a guided art activity designed to be age-appropriate and engaging.

Older participants may also choose to:

  • Help set up materials
  • Assist younger kids
  • Support the activity alongside the instructor

Helping roles are optional and always supervised.

Pick-Up

Pick-up is flexible during the program and may happen at any time.

All participants must be picked up within the designated pick-up window following the guided art activity. Late pick-up or extended care is not available.

Good to Know
  • Ages 5–15
  • Drop-in format
  • Advance registration recommended per day
  • Snacks from home are welcome
  • Not a tutoring or homework-help program
  • Kind behaviour, listening, and safe movement are expected

From time to time, activities may include studio care projects alongside art-making. These are creative, age-appropriate ways for kids to help look after the space they use and love.

This might include seasonal decorating, planting or caring for studio plants, preparing or organizing materials, or light studio upkeep projects. All activities are supervised and designed to feel collaborative and creative.

We believe caring for beautiful spaces is part of learning to create within them.

How to Book Multiple Days video
  • Drop-off → kids can arrive any time within the 2 hour window.
  • Pick-up → Participants may be picked up at any point during the program, including during guided activities.
  • Late pick-up or care beyond the scheduled end time is not offered.
  • Different pick-up person? → Let the instructor know at drop-off if someone else will be picking up your child.
  • Older kids walking home? → Please also let us know during registration if your child has permission to leave on their own.
  • Cancellations → We do not offer refunds at any time.
  • If you need to cancel, you may do so up to 5 minutes before the program begins and we’ll issue a studio credit valid for 30 days, which can be used toward future classes or camps.
  • Please do not send children who are ill. If your child is unwell, cancel or reschedule the booking before the program begins.
  • In the rare event that we need to cancel a session due to staff illness or unforeseen circumstances, the same credit policy applies as when families cancel — a 30-day studio credit will be issued. Refunds are not provided.
  • Late pick-up → Please be on time for pick-up. We do not offer late pick-up or extended care.

Late pick-ups may result in a $25 fee per 20 minutes, per child — and a very grumpy instructor.
  • Drop-off only → This is a drop-off program. Parents and guardians do not stay during class.
  • Finished artwork → Most artwork requires approximately two weeks to be glazed or fired.

We’re happy to hold finished pieces for up to 2 months. After that time, artwork may be donated or recycled due to storage limits.

We want class to be fun, safe, and inspiring for every kid. We’re proud to be an inclusive studio, and we know that every child is different. If there’s anything helpful you’d like us to know about how to best support your child, we welcome that information at registration or by email ahead of time.

Here’s what we expect (and celebrate!) each day:

🌟 What we love to see
  • Curious questions
  • Kindness + teamwork
  • Respect for classmates, staff, and art materials
  • Following safety rules so everyone stays happy + paint-covered (in a good way)
🚫 What doesn’t fly
  • Ignoring instructors
  • Hands on other kids (keep them on your own art!)
  • Aggressive, disruptive, or rude behaviour

⚠️ If expectations aren’t met, we’ll call you to pick up your child right away. No credit or refund will be provided.

✨ Bottom line: When kids show curiosity, kindness, and creativity, everyone wins 🎉.

Yes. This program is designed for a wide age range, and older participants often enjoy the increased independence.
