FAQs
This program is designed for kids ages 5–15 who enjoy creative, independent activities in a calm studio environment. Activities are flexible and age-appropriate, with options that work well for both younger and older participants.
Yes! Older kids often love the increased independence. They may choose how they participate each day — joining the guided art activity, working independently, or taking on optional, supervised helper roles such as preparing materials, assisting with studio set-up, or supporting younger participants.
This program is for ages 5–15, and we’re not able to accommodate younger children at this time. We look forward to welcoming them once they’re age-eligible.
This is a drop-off program. Parents and guardians do not stay during the session. Kids tend to have the best experience when they’re able to settle into the studio independently.
Not at this time. We don’t provide after-school pickup or transportation. Drop-off arrangements are the responsibility of the family. Children may arrive independently with parent or guardian approval.
Children may arrive any time within the two-hour program window. There is no set start time — the program runs as an open studio drop-in.
Pick-up is flexible and may happen at any point during the program, but all participants must be picked up by the scheduled end time. Late pick-up or extended care is not available.
If you’re picking up during the guided art activity, please enter the studio quietly to help keep disruptions to a minimum.
Yes. Homework or quiet reading is welcome before or during the session (the guided art activity is optional).
Please note that homework is self-guided. This is not a tutoring or homework-help program, though staff are present to supervise and support transitions.
Yes! Snacks from home are welcome.
Please send nut-free, easy-to-manage snacks, as staff are not able to prepare or heat food.
We do not offer refunds.
If your child can’t attend at all, please email the studio before the program begins to receive a studio credit valid for 30 days, which can be used toward future classes or camps.
No credit or refund is provided for partial attendance or early pick-up, as the spot, staff, and materials are reserved for the full program.
Credits are not issued for missed classes without advance notice.
No. This program is priced per session, not by time attended. There are no partial refunds or studio credits for shorter attendance, including early pick-up or brief visits.
We expect kind behaviour, listening, and safe movement so everyone can enjoy the studio.
If a child is unable to participate safely or respectfully, a parent or guardian will be contacted for immediate pick-up. In these cases, no credit or refund will be provided.
Most artwork is ready in about two weeks for firing or glazing.
We’re happy to hold finished pieces for up to 2 months. After that, unclaimed artwork may be donated or recycled due to limited storage space (we call it the Great Art Storage Shelf in the Sky).
